In order to secure her status in the Burke family, Mabel Rowe swaps her daughter for a baby boy, leaving her own baby girl with Susan White. While Mabel takes control of the Burkes’ assets as she wishes, Susan abandons the baby girl right after receiving payment. Fortunately, a garbage collector rescues the baby and raises her. Twenty years later, both babies have grown up: Ian Burke and Zoe Gale.
