After a year of marriage, Noemi Delaney begins an internship at Pearlina Group, where her husband, Thorin Wheeler, serves as CEO. Thorin announces her internship at the company and instructs his staff to take good care of her. However, due to a misunderstanding, colleagues mistakenly believe that Cheryl Dulaney is the CEO's wife. Taking advantage of this mix-up, Cheryl claims the title and relentlessly bullies Noemi, with the management and other staff following suit to appease her. Meanwhile, Noemi struggles to win over Thorin's mother, who initially disapproves of her.
