Zara Klein, a village woman, makes a living by selling handmade pastries while raising her biological son, Nate Olson, and searching for her missing adopted son, Kyle Olson. Twenty years later, Nate brings Zara home after achieving success. On the surface, he acts like a good son, but in reality, he uses Zara to further his wealth and reputation. Fortunately, Nate’s plan is thwarted by Kyle, who was adopted by another family and is now known as Jared Locke.
